Foxhole uses an implementation of the TrueSight system. This means any players/vehicle that is obscured by an object or darkness will not be easily visible. This makes item like Binoculars and Radios very important for spotting threats.
This makes night time especially threatening because essential support like Artillery and Mortars become mostly guesswork to use.
Due to this vision system it is imperative that you stick close to your allies! This goes doubly so for if you are running with a squad. You can easily lose your squad members if you aren't paying attention.
Bushes and walls can obscure vision! There may be someone lurking nearby that you cannot see. Look for smoke from gunfire to identify an enemy position.
Known Issues[edit | edit source]
- Highest view distance is available in 4:3 resolutions (1600:1200), while widescren players can be shot without ability to aim back. 4:3 causes noticable structure pop in, but it allows you to notice defences before it's too late to stop.
